  • Breba ripening time?

Does anyone have info on how long it takes breba crops to ripen? There is mgginva's ripening order, but that doesn't really say how long it took the fig to develop.

There are lists for main crops, but I haven't found for brebas.

I had wondered the same thing. Brebas, the great mystery. Don't have any info on breba fig development time other than basically a chart of relativity from Baud:

Last year my Negronne breba ripened on July 22nd, that was a cool summer and tree was brought out first week of April, no early greenhouse warm-up for Negronne.

I may be wrong, but it seems brebas mature faster than main crop fruits?

I am counting about 105 days from putting the Negronne out to harvest. That is probably more than the 70-80 days for main crop, even if you substract some days for actual breba formation on a dormant tree.

Its been my observation that the same general rule that applies to main crop works for the breba crop, 30 - 60 - 90 -120 days, (Swelling - Stagnant - Ripe average - to Ripe late).
