  • And here they come like a booming drum beat !!!

And a lot of them! Every figlet is covered with 2-5 wasps. What you see, are not caprifigs but the commons.
The Capris are about 300-400 yards away.

I am not sure about the North but the South and SE may work depending on the frost conditions. I would spread the seeds over a large area or plant the seedlings so they are 50-500 yards apart. In 2-3 years you will have a few dozen of capris that are ready to accept the wasp. Then I would get them from CA via an overnight delivery as a bag of figs with wasps and hang them on each tree that is ready.
If they stay, you get yourself a new invasive species and every arborist and biologist from the area will try to find you to make sure the rest of your life is not too pleasant (or to make a new friend).
              Good luck, guys!

I'm working as hard as I can to ruin the rest of my life or to make the figs here taste better for everyone.

My plan if caught is to blame Hershell.......I suggest everyone follow my lead. Doesn't have to just be figs...lose your car keys? Hershell. Get a door ding? Hershell. Drop a frozen duck on your foot? Hershell.

Wills, did you drop a frozen duck on your foot? That can't be a random thing...
