I feel you pain as well Mike. I have a traveling job and I'm usually gone around 80% of the year. I've been home since November do to an injury, I should be done with Doctors and Physical Therapy either the end of July or the beginning of September. I retired a couple years ago...and still end up working at the same old stuff....it ends up distracting me from my trees...and fishing

Tell me about it. Being active duty military leave me very little time for gardening. I believe the I'm the only out of all the forums. I'm almost done with my desert tour. First.....AmericanFigLover. GRAZIE! for what you do for tis Country to keep us safe from harm. You are true hero. My hat is off to you! Being away from family must be difficult. When you come home contact me and I will ship you a baby tree as gift for you for all you have done for me as solider. I can never repay you for what you've done for me but is to show my appreciation for you services. I hope that other members that see tis post that have extra trees will do the same thing for you to get your garden started and in fall I'm sure you will get many cuttings.

But seriously, if want an LSU Purple, you can have one. I can only attest to my experience in Florida, but I have heard it needs a long, hot summer to be tasty. I also am unsure about its cold hardiness.Comment

I know tis. My dream to live by ocean for fishing and to relax. City life for me is too busy. Too much rat race here. I would move in a second but we have some things we must wait for before we can move. Fishing here is ok. Salmon and musky are fun. But otherwise all lake fish. I want big salt fish!! I trade you Hocky team for ocean? Ha!
