  • Should I air layer again?

    Ciao My Fig~Family,

Okay so my Panacahe Tiger air layer I posted yesterday was a success... Mother tree and the new baby are Belle!!
    Here my question...
I just took tis air layer off main tree yesterday... The Mother tree has good top growth and is standing freely with no support. Now there is top growth and about 1.5-2 feet down is more new growth about 7 inch from soil line. There is no sign of any new growth in between. Should I make another air layer between top and bottom growth even tho I just cut one off yesterday? Will tis hurt the tree? Being it took almost 2 month for layer to form if I make new layer now in 2 month mother should be out of shock (if any) from yesterday cutting. And be ready for another cutting. I doubt I will see fig on any part of tis tree tis year but at least I then have 3 tree of her and the potted truck will grow thick and strong. What do you think?

    It would work
Cutting sales have ended for the season. Plant sales will start March 1 at 8 eastern time. If it is still too cold in your area I can hold your plants till a date of your choosing.

Go for it. .. if you need to control the size or need more trees.
