On another note, in another part of the store the Sterilite 66 Qt. plastic container with lid is a nice sized humidity bin that will fit 15 of those 32 oz deli cups cozily.

Thanks for the information and I will cancel the order. I always like to learn from those with more experience. I am also looking at plant stands to elevate my pots off of the concrete and perhaps reflective foil to wrap the pots. Has anyone seen some good results to avoid overheating the roots?

When those come would you please let us know about the thickness and quality of the plastic they used? I'd order several sets...but I hesitate....

Tha's a great buy and I'd be cautious of the plastic they used when just under this one is a 12 gallon single tub with rope handles for 17 plus change.....

Pete is exactly correct about the UV. I think we all got taken years ago when someone started growing fig trees in those rope handle pots. The price is right but the price is also very wrong. It pays in the long run to invest in a container that will last. Either way, you're gonna pay now or pay later depending on how you look at it.

This may be a typo but I am going to hold them to it. I was thinking about painting them a reflective protective paint. That might help.

I'm not agreeing with Hershell
But the containers will usually only last 1 season when exposed to direct sunlight. Painting with a UV inhibitor could help, but Tractor Supply has similar Heavier duty tubs for only $2.00 more, but they are only sold in sets of 2.

Walmart has nice big plastic rope handled containers for 6.96 for sale. Maybe some of you guys could use those to haul your figs in an out. I am going to by a couple and plant tomatoes in them. Joyce
