  • Air layer removed after just 24 days!

This is from my (Rob's?) Genovese Nero. I did the air layer on a 2 year old tree from a 5 gallon SIP. Just 24 days from start to finish! The roots were pretty fragile, and I guess I should've left it another week or two so the roots would toughen up some more, but we'll see what happens.

Very nice Frank. I had very similar results with a Black Jack airlayer but I left it on another two weeks just to make sure! It had figs on it and they are still on and developing like nothing ever happened. Thanks for sharing.

Looks nice. I threw a couple on an unknown that needed pruned last night just to play around.
