  • My #1 Underated Fig

This one is as good or better as some of the French figs I had a chance to sample recently. It is readily available but hardly evermentioned. You all know what I'm talking about right?

            Hi Frank,

The Green Ischia I received from you is growing great. It is about seven feet tall now. I hope to get figs next year. I think I have been overwatering and will severely cut back next year.

I hope your tree produces figs as good as the ones on the mother tree, Charles.

Maincrop from this season? I have heard good things about this one, but also that it takes a long time to ripen. It was one variety that failed to root for me this past winter, and given my short season I did not mourn too much. I have Adriatic JH going, and figure on that variety to fill the Late green catagory in my collection.

Zone 5 might be a stretch, Jesse.

Green Ischia breba (rare), knocked off the tree by wind this morning.
