  • Makedonia Dark (Bass) = Pics

Here are the promised pictures of the Makedonia Dark cuttings I purchased from Bass last year. I received three cuttings last year, all three rooted (novice), all were wintered in my garage and all were repotted this spring. Nice size on all three, lots of figs (as seen in pics), plants seem very healthy (no FMV showing on leaves), and the fig taste is not as sweet as my Ronde de Bordeaux, but it is still nice for a young tree. Hope this helps. I am in Zone 7A, figs ripening started probably mid July

give it some time, most ALL figs get better with age,
    Congrats on the 100% rooting!

Let me know if you want to trade cuttings in the fall. It sounds like a good variety to have.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I bought a Makedonia Dark tree from Bass back in April... it's been putting on some nice growth, but no figs yet. I'm looking forward to the future when I can finally taste one.
