This is always one of my family's favorite figs each year. Sweet dark berry flavor and early ripening. The small fig on the left was left to dehydrate on the tree and was outstanding.

I don't know why but in my yard this fig isn't very good, I have 2 rdb's from 2 different sources for a couple of years now and neither put out very good figs. I've tasted maybe 2 or 3 all together that was actually sweet with good flavor. It does good for almost everyone else, I don't know if there is something in my yard that rdb doesn't like or what. I'm hoping one day I could give it a good review like you Art.Ryan- CenLa, zone 8a/b

Hi Art, ---Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Are this figs from a potted tree? I am in zone 6B and my Ronde d B. is in a pot. My tree is full of green figs, but no where near being ready. How did you get your to bear fruit this early? are they in a greenhouse?Jerry - Zone 6B -Westchester, NY
