My Italian Honey yesterday I started picking some figs off of her and the more I pick the more she produces and the figs are absolutely delicious I also got a longue D'aout and a couple Petite Negri's

Dave how old is your Italian Honey tree. Just wondering how long it will be until my tree does that good.

Erick it is just about 4 years old it's not a giant tree but she produces allot of figs I've had it in a 15 gallon tall pot which I don't really care for I'll be switching it to a 15 gallon short wide pot wish I could go bigger with the pot but I just don't have the room

By the looks of the caliper of the tree you have to root prune often, yes?

I usually do the large trees every 2 years I suppose to do the Honey this year but missed my opportunity so it has been in this pot for 3 years I can't wait to go to the wider pots

Considering the number of figs it has on it, it dosen't appear to be hurt by being a little root bound. You must feed and water on a regular basis.

I've talked to quite a few old time fig guys and they seem to think that a root bound fig tree will produce more fruit ??? I use Osmocote plus and yes water every day sometimes twice a day if it is extremely hot out
