Cool, thanks. I have a few Aubique Petite or Petite Aubique (whatever it is called) that will be ripening soon, so I can't wait to see how I score them.

Only one thus far and it was Aubique Petite. Its all subjective of course.
I take in to consideration the taste of the pulp and also the skin. Some skin
on different figs has as pleasant of flavor as the pulp. I also like to have
a small amount of seed crunch which many figs do not have. Some figs
can be to sweet and over bearing.

Have you rated a fig this year as 10/10? What does it take to make that grade?

I sure don't have it mike, but I'm thinking about it, I have just about all the black Lsu figs I could my hands on but I've never had the native black or black italian from around La.

started a topic Native Black 2015 Main

    Native Black 2015 Main

This is a second year tree that was placed in ground in April 2015. It has
responded pretty well with growth and had three nice figs.

This fig is the soul survivor of three from this tree. The other two went
to the birds in spite of my organza bags and bird netting. My wife and I
are unable to describe the flavor of this first ever fig variety but it is
pleasantly sweet and delicious. We gave this fig an 8 on a 1-10. We
would like to hear from any others who have tasted it and your thoughts.
