  • Malta Black

    This one's been ripening for me for about the last two weeks. It's a very vigorous variety and produces lots of figs. It's a keeper in my yard.

      It's a good all around tasting fig. If Genovese Nero is a 10, then Malta Black is a 7. It's a really good fig.

            I agree that Malta is a vigorous variety. It produces a good amount of figs of nice size and good taste. If you can keep the birds at bay and let the figs hang until they start to shrivel a bit it will peak the flavor.
