  • Black Greek main

A very good Mt Etna type. These had a nice sweet berry taste. These were the best of the night and I ate a bunch of varieties. I'd give it a 9.

Art, those look really good. Mine died back to the ground this winter and are
    slow to ripen.

Thanks Mike. Surprisingly these ripened this early for me. I got an early start this spring and had a bad freeze. That killed every leaf and all breba.

Art, looks great! Just had one tonight, agree it's very berry and really good. Definitely a tree worth duplicating.

This is a good fig. I also got mine from Marius via ebay. It's from the island of Chios (though it appears to be a Mt Etna type), which has a climate similar to mine. I recently gave a small tree to friends, and they are crazy about the flavor of the fruits.

        Art,
Thanks for sharing the photos and info.
Looking forward to tasting my Black Greek - Chios C BC this season. It seems to have Etna Type similarities but its only the 2nd leaf.
