Panachee dropping fruit

I have a Panachee from EL, which came from Dave's nursery. It produced 2 fruits this year and dropped both, anyone else having this problem with young trees? The picture is the inside of the fruit, it almost looks like it needs a wasp? I've cut opened immature fruit before of different varieties and usually see a solid center. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

My HC dropped all of it's fruit but one after a cold snap in June, I did not open any of the aborted fruit. The only one it kept fully ripened and was amazing.

Next year will be better Von.

How big/old is the tree? Any potential sources of plant stress (insufficient moisture, rootbound, root zone too warm, etc)?

Some of my first year trees dropped figs. I figure the trees have determined they don't have favorable conditions for fruiting and are instead putting their energy into growing bigger. From the pics I've seen, Panache occasionally has a void. I wouldn't be too concerned about a void in an immature fruit.

I have other trees right around the same area, with the same drip emitters, and I've checked the emitters to make sure they are getting the right amount of water. So maybe it's just because it's a young tree.

I had others that have dropped their fruit this year, but that was watering issue, too little. Thanks for assuring me about the void. That's what threw me off about this one.

Fruit drop is an odd thing my Atreano held its brebas but has been dropping main crop. Maybe its not Atreano? Anyway sometimes I add Dyna-Gro Bloom supplement for fruit development and nutrition.

Thanks, Rafael. I think I'll try doing the Bloom Supplement next year, a little late for this variety this year, since it only had 2 fruit and both dropped.

This was my first year harvesting Panachee. Spider mites nearly ruined the tree while I was on vacation. I also managed to give it a leaf scorching when I took it out of the greenhouse. Still, it ripened about 12-15 fruits (5 still on the tree) of which the majority were decent but not outstanding. A couple soured, and were unable to ripen properly due to long-lasting damage from the spider mites. Next year we will do it better. The fruit does seem to split at times, just from humidity. It famously splits badly in rain, but I shuffle into the greenhouse when it rains.

Panache is a little more of a sensitive being (or diva) than most figs. It is worth waiting for.

I have these two big Panachee plants(2.5-3m on the back plan of the photo) and they have not produce a single fig so far, 3 years already. Yet cuttings from the same plants have fruits the same year I rooted them. Very healthy vigorous plants but NO figs.

I had the same thing happen with Celeste. The tree was purchased with figs that ripened the first year, after planting it made very few figs (which almost always dropped) but grew very rapidly, cuttings from the tree in containers were moderately productive though.

The theory is that the stress of being in a container can cause a tree to make more figs in an effort to reproduce through seeds.

Pen, that's unusual! Hope you get some fruit from your mother tree next year!
