  • Smith & Preto 2015

These are two of my favorite figs. Both of these are now producing nicely. The first few Smith this year were smaller and not as outstanding as I remember. Now they are great and bigger. The first Preto last week was ok, but had a weird yellow pulp color. Now they are looking "right." Still great as ever. But smaller than previous years, and the flavor is sweeter, not as complex as previous years.

I hope to try them both next year. Looking great, hopefully next year brings you a better harvest.

Frank you are south of me its odd yours have not ripened yet, my Preto does not get a head start because it wont fit in my greenhouse, 25 gal pot. It has been a warm summer, most of my figs are 2 weeks ahead of last year.
