  • Not Desert King

This past spring I purchased a Desert King from a well respected New Jersey fig seller. As the fig began to ripen, it became obvious that perhaps the tree was mislabeled. Mistakes happen and I am positive it was just that. Before I cut one open, our friends on F4F seemed to think that it was perhaps a LSU Purple. After tasting the first fig, it is a keeper. Any thoughts on IDing this fig?

I don't qualify as an expert but it looks like my LSU Purple. Mine is unique out of all my varieties.

      Dave,
I have to agree with Ed, LSU Purple. My cultivars have been very productive.
