  • Sweet joy fig tree

    Does anyone else have a sweet joy fig tree and does it taste?

      This is the first year from bass.it's seems that if I pinch the trees most fruit.my maroc noir from you harvey is fruiting as well.they are like black mission on steroids.

                That's a very nice picture. Can you comment on the productivity and flavor?

              I didn't get a chance to taste it. Hubby and kids took the picture and ate them before I got the chance. He said it's a keeper though. "Very sweet and tasty!" Got my tree from Bass almost two years ago.

                  Bass described it as molasses flavor, so I'm not sure if it's a honey or sugar fig. It's a relatively rare and expensive variety, so I'm trying to figure out if it's special or unique in someway that would make it worthwhile to get.

                I would say, It's a cross between honey and molasses flavor.

                  I will start selling some cuttings in a couple of weeks.I have this sweet joy, i-258, col de dame grise (belle claire) and a couple of raspberry latte cutting.PM me in two weeks.
