Crafty bird or long toothed squirrel? I had been watching this one for a few days how do they always know to get it right before you. Hard to tell from the pic but most of the interior was eaten.

That looks like bird beak to me.
You might want to bump the netting outward, so as to make the fruit less accessible.
There's a catbird in your neighborhood that has acquired a taste for figs.
Time to get a dog...
Hopefully there are enough left on that plant for you.
