This tree was gifted to me in early Spring 2015 by a generous
forum member. Thanks Art. It arrived with this one small fig
attached and I have babied it the whole summer. Over the last
week or so I have covered it with an organza bag and bird
netting. I have moved the three gallon pot into and out of the
garage each day. I have other critters besides the birds to deal with.
This fig was very good for a first fig from a small three foot tree.
It had a pretty nice creamy, berry flavor and good sweetness. The
skin was a little chewy, which I like. Not much of a seed crunch. We
gave it an 8 on a 1-10. It gets a new home next spring in a ten gal
pot and a back up air layer also.
