  • LSU Scotts Black 2015 Main

This tree was placed in ground April 2014 and died back to
the round but is now about eight feet tall. It has many green
figs yet to ripen. It is actually ripening figs earlier than last
year as the first fig was on Oct 9th.

This fig has a very nice creamy raspberry flavor. The skin is
sweet and just a little chewy. It does have an open eye which
led to the splitting. We gave this fig an 8 on a 1-10.

Woohoo, an 8! Looks like it will make Whiterk's list.

Is the eye always that open on Scott's Black?
