This is the first year that I've noticed it on my relatively young plant. I'll have to label them to see how it behaves next year.

I still get the odd single lobe on root suckers after year 5,not on the tree though.

It's weird, usually the branch that is single lobed will stay single lobed, and the branches thst aren't single lobe will stay that way, that's what I've noticed with my trees. That doesn't mean that a normal branch won't grow from a single lobed branch, though

How long did they stay single lobed? Just one season?..and then changed? or did they stay a long time..

It seems like Vista is proned to lobeless leaves. Mine has two main shoots, one with every leaf lobed, the other with every leaf lobeless. Both shoots produce identical figs.

started a topic Single Lobed Vista

    Single Lobed Vista

This little guy is growing in Southern California....I started it from a cutting grown directly into the ground in early March. For some reason it came out with only single lobed leaves. Pretty sure its going to change as it gets older but to me...single lobed fig trees are pretty!
