  • Gino's Black

My Gino's Black....that wasn't so black..and really small. This is from a cutting started in Feb. The flavor was surprising....very sweet berry flavor and had a little hint of guava...which i found really odd(in a good way). I'm really looking forward to this one next year!

It id's a nice looking fig Q, makes me wonder what next year will bring for it. Will it ripen to black with some age or was it an accidental mislabel.

have you been able to compare leaves?

Its definitely a Mt. Etna type fig....the leaves look like salem dark and hardy chicago.... i think it was because it ripened under a leaf and didnt have much direct sun. I loved the flavor...cant wait for the rest to ripen.
