  • Had a PM from a semi irate member.......

Saying I had repeatedly ignored his PM's. As you know ignoring members is one thing I stated from the start would not happen but it is possible there is a glitch and I did not get them so I am asking.....has anyone had any issues not receiving PM's from other members OR has anyone here PM'ed me and I have not answered?

In the beginning I think there were a lot of glitches but lately I haven't experienced any that I know about. I suggest we all send Wills $100 every ten minutes then send more to be sure he got it. Hopefully vengeance will soothe the member.

The only glitch I experience now is that every post made by everyone shows up as a new notification.

HOWEVER, the 'Visitor Messages' are kind of funky and do not work like other messages, I have had problems with those not giving a notification but the last instance was a few months ago. I am not always sure where they appear. Maybe he is sending as a visitor message. If I click on a member name on the forum and use that 'Member Profile' page to send a message it is a visitor message, I think. The right way to send a PM is to open Messages and start a new message there.

Don't believe that I've had any problems with PMs, at least I haven't had any complaints

It seems to work ok .
But again, I wouldn't know that I have not received a PM if they all go missing

I send and receive PM's quite frequently, to my knowledge all have gone both ways.

Maybe check visitor messages? With the way it is placed, it's easy to confuse that with a pm.

Yep a while back, but I think it was the visitor msg, not pm.

Posting a message with "Hey Joe Bagodonuts, check your PMs" as the title and as the message is what a rational person might choose to do.

In the very beginning my PMs were messed up and I did not receive some that were sent. It seems OK now, but how would I really know?

Visitor messages? Do we have those here? I apparently have neither the ability to send nor receive them.

Yeah. When you open a profile on a phone, if you just type in the text box at the top. I believe that is a visitor message. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the profile to select pm. I think it's the same in a pc but the pm button is around the top.

I'm not sure how to access visitor messages or who can see them other than viewing dismissed notifications or using the search feature.
