  • Singapore fig trees

    My daughter, who is vacationing in Singapore, sent me some pictures of fig trees growing within a dome at a place called Gardens By the Bay. I thought I would share with my fig family. BTW, yes I did ask her if she brought along a knife for cuttings The first tree was labeled as common fig, however the second one was labels as socotran fig tree.

      That's one weird looking tree.

        Just wonder if fig tree in Singapore or Indonesia etc will continue to grow all year round meaning no dormant

          Fig over in South east asia will continue growing the whole year. No dormant period. We can get figs twice a year...

            Nice pics, thanks for sharing Dave . Now that is one caring daughter... Taking time off her vacation to send her dad fig pics! Well done and don't forget to thank her on our behalf also.
