OT. Dress Color

My wife showed me this and I was shocked that we saw this differently. Then she showed me the link and I was surprised that many people do. What color is the dress to you?

Because of the bright background, it looks like a white and tan or brown dress that is in shadow, the shadow making the white look blue-gray color

Ok I don't get it.......when I looked at it this morning it was a white and gold dress but it is now blue and black.....my wife looking at my screen says it is still white and gold. How very odd, has anyone explained the why yet?

Gold and white for me all day long.

In reality it is blue and black. After arguing with my wife about it I saved the picture and put it in photoshop and photoshop color matcher says the colors are blue and black.......but this morning it was white and gold far as my brain was concerned.

I read a Wired article that said in Photoshop it is blue... which is how I see it. I can't even imagine seeing it in white.

Ok, so what does it say about me when I've seen it both as white/gold and black/blue? Just depends on how it is presented in the photos to me.

I don't know... My wife first saw this picture as white and gold, but now she sees it as blue and brownish gold. My wife told me it changed in front of her eyes as she walked into a well lit from from a dim one.

I see it as blue and brownish gold. I have viewed it on five different screens, with different types of lighting in the rooms, and even without light in the room, and I always saw the same colors.
