I saw that too but one thing about that concerns me, the whole "into January" thing.

Seeing last year in the middle of January I had no snow in my backyard but then by the end of February we got over 80 inches of snow.

I'm hoping the "into January" turns into "into March"

Yeah, I hope it lasts too! But it's still better than the past 2 years, by far. Snow I'm relatively fine with, it's the weeks of below freezing temps I get tired of!

I don't mind the snow either so long as its spread out over the winter. So let's hope for snow every few weeks, with melting in between and milder temps this year.

That what I want for Christmas

Hope it holds for you guys up north. Its been very mild for us down south. Only one morning below freezing so far and frosty
mornings have been sparse also. Thus all my potted trees are not dormant.

thanks, i really don't mind the snow so long as it's spread out over the winter. Last year was crazy, no snow until mid-January then every storm dumped feet and we had over 100 inches by then end of the year. We broke the record though

I hope it stays warmer. The last two years were miserable. I'm still going to get my snowblower ready to go.

It's unbelievable how warm it is here! I am now doing the reverse fig shuffle on a couple dormant trees that show signs of waking up (out at night, in during the day)! If only it would stay this way & not plunge down eventually to our more typical winter weather, this would be great!

So if the arctic air doesn't come to the USA this year who are the poor folks who are going to get it?

            December 12....76F.....

What bizarro world have I fallen into?!

Seriously...taking down an old shed today I had to stop and flush my eyes out because they were stinging. No, not from dust or anything from the building. Not at all. But BECAUSE SWEAT WAS RINNING INTO THEM! That's the kind of crap that is reserved for July and August....
