The answer to life, the universe, and everything is 42.
Figs are what we hold dear.
31 might be a good guess for the next number in that series (down 3, up 2, down 3*4, so maybe the next number is up 2*4)
But I don't know where any of that leads.

Maybe a better way to answer the question is that if you value all of life and creation, then the answer is zero, because everything minus everything = zero. But I wouldn't know how to tie in the numbers, unless they're code for zero in some way.

So to make a long story short, I give up.

Figs are the answer, winner! Too easy, it seems.

I think that was my locker combo in high school.

      Mathematically:
      36-33=3
      3-35=-32
      -32-23=-55

      Seriesly:
      36-33-35-23-34-13

        Marilyn Monroe's measurements at 33: 36-23-35. Hehe.

The numbers are the displacement from the previous letter in the word. I is 3 from F. G is 2 from I. S is 12 from G. Or another way to look at it, the number subtracted from 42 in the alphabet. 42-36 = 6 which is F.

42 is from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

        Congrats greenfin.

I has the 42 part...and figured figs were involved...but my brain tends toward the literal. I'm not good at thinking around corners.

Nah, not me. I didn't post any of the answers first and Kelby has already generously helped me out. He's a good guy with good cuttings.
