    Looking for caprifig cuttings.

    I'm planting my fig orchard, and I'd like to include a caprifig or three to ensure pollination. I know that I have the fig wasp in my area, I just want to ensure pollination. I was going to order Stanford Capri (Mid Season), Roeding #3 Capri (Early Season), and Milco (Late Season) from NCGR/Davis, but that's not really any option now that they've shut down distribution.

    Do you have access to an early, mid, and/or late season caprifig? Doesn't have to be a named variety, but I would appreciate if you knew an approximate ripening time.

    Why don't you dig one up not far from your house or farm and move it closer? If you have the wasp, you have many caprifigs around. The local would be best and you can choose the trees with different timing.
    It takes time to get one going from a cutting.

        Funny thing is I used to give these away. Last year I had a few people saying that they are a waste of time. Only the person who knows the true value of things can appreciate. To me they are worth gold.

          You know, I've looked around the area and I have no clue where the caprifigs are. All the fig trees I see are planted in peoples yards and are usually common figs.

            Usually they are around the parking lots and on the edges of parks and hiking trails. Some gas stations have them too. If you do not find any, shoot me a pm, I can send you a few cuttings.

          I'd be happy to share cuttings from mine but I don't know what I have. They're the ones I bought on here from Aaron, sp? now banned, last yr. There were supposed to be four varieties I think but they weren't marked. Now in one gal pots with great growth. I could send you cuttings after the first, will be gone till then. They were all covered with figs this summer so they are possibilities.

          Maybe Aaron isn't banned here but haven't seen him. I think he's banned on F4F.

              Milco and the yellow ones are Stanford. They are both Caprifigs.

              I think I need these 2 Milco and Standford since there are no caprifrigs found both in Oregon and Texas, accordingly to a well known source . Who will be the generous caprifig donor here ? I am willing to pay for postage
