It's a fig from Spain, originally from France, the Agde region is near Montpellier not far from the Spanish border.
It sounds suspicous too because fico indicates it's italian but negra indicates it is spanish.
So it should be Fico Nero d'Agde if it was italian or Higo Negra d'Agde if it was spanish.
Hope this helps.Last edited by Rob Ster 010; 12-25-2015, 03:46 PM.Rotterdam / the Netherlands.

The fruits for me were nice on my young tree. I obtained it from my long-time friend Don 90 minutes west of me who has been growing it for several years and reports it as being excellent for him. He is a fruit connoisseur and I vale you his opinions.
This is the same Don that came to Gary's fig gathering and brought some CdD Noir that were much larger than my fruits. He also provided me with the cuttings of my very first fig trees about 12-15 years ago.My fig photos <> My fig cuttings (starts late January) <> My Youtube Videos

Oh, and by the way, just drop that Fico from the name, someone added it inappropriately. Fico has frequently been added to variety names inappropriately.
Also, here is where I posted a photo of a fruit on my page this summer: https://www.facebook.com/Figaholics/...type=3&theaterMy fig photos <> My fig cuttings (starts late January) <> My Youtube Videos
