Glad you found your long lost fig friends, Bill.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your beautiful family. I hope things work out so we could become neighbors
Welcome Bill. Who knows maybe there will be enough of us to get a sub forum for Pawpaws. Since I had to leave my trees behind in NJ I just ordered 3 to replace them.
Been away for a while. Wanted to share my first graft. This is Col De Dame Gris grafted onto Kathleen’s black, which has been a very vigorous but not highly productive variety in my sandy soil.

Looks like it’s doing great.
As it leaves out you may want to splint it?
Several members have lost successful grafts to wind catching the leaves and pulling it off.
Got to agree, a great looking tree! And welcome back from someone who's only been around 7 months. I've seen a video of someone in TX, I think, who attached a piece of bamboo or some other stick alongside their grafts. It not only strengthened the joint and acted like a splint, it also was a bit longer than the grafted limb so it acted as a perch for birds and took the shock of them taking off that might have damaged the graft if not there. Hope you can check it out and it maybe helps.
