When I'm viewing the topics on the fig forum these darn little yellow windows full of text open and refuse to move and I don't know how to tell them they are not welcome. Any advise?
    thx in advance.

I've attached a screenshot which I think describes your problem.

If it is they are "mouseover" notes that appear when the mouse is moved over the topics. For me sometimes they go away and sometimes they do not.

When they do not, I've found that if you move the mouse back over the topic header they disappear (most of the time anyway )

    Hope this helps.

I haven't experienced that bug on Chrome. Maybe a different browser would resolve it?

I too had this problem , now all I have to do to rid my computer screen of these notices is to run the curser over the topic heading that is attached to it. Then they go away. I use both apple and Chromebook.

This is supposed to be a feature, but sometimes features don't always work out right (especially with all the differences that have to be accounted for between all the web browsers). I'm running Mozilla Firefox 43..0.4 on a Windoze7 box and it is behaving just fine. By "behaving just fine" I mean that I have to hover my mouse over the subject text for a few seconds before the box with additional text appears. Then, as soon as I move the mouse off the subject text, the additional text box goes away.
MGG -- try to upgrade your browser to the latest version and see if that fixes it. (...also, try to restart your browser and/or restart your machine and see if it goes away.) If you have a lot of browser windows open (or lots and lots of tabs open in the browser) try closing them and see if it makes a difference.
          Cheers,
          Jim

Thank you "everybody". Eventually I will loose my extremely tight grasp on the technology that rules my life and I will retreat down a long long --VERY LONG driveway to a cabin with no internet or phone or . . .
There will be a mail box though and if anyone wants to contact me - well they can just write me a f*^%*(^ letter!!!

Hey, I wouldn't be completely averse to a massive solar EMP wiping out post-1830 technology. There's something to be said for simplifying life....

...and, yes, I'm aware of the chaos that would follow. If you make you way to my place, remember that the password phrase is "The dragon eats ficus carica."
