  • Neem Oil on everything?

I have hear great thing about neem oil. I got some other day and mix 2 table spoon to gallon water. The paper say spray at night or early morning but being my tree no under very strong lights can I spray anytime? Also paper say can be use to prevent future fungal or bugs if sprayed on dormant trees. Because I have cuttings rooted in cups from other members and because I do no wash the cutting or anything before rooting is bad to apply neem to rooted cupped cuttings?

Neem seems pretty harmless from my experience. Should be fine to spray whenever. I used it some on rooting cuttings for mites last winter, never had a problem. Still had mites, but that's another story. Are you spraying for a specific reason or just preventative?

Grazie. For now just as prevent. I have about 20 trees ranging from common to extreme rare potted in my garage GH along with about 60 rooted cutting in cups with humid and good breeze from wind. So I no wanna spread anything IF any have bug or disease.

In my experience, it can burn the leaves of sensitive plants like VDB in the heat and sunlight of summer. Under flourescent grow lights, probably not an issue.

I hear you can spray it on pimples and they disappear within hours. It shows you how in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Not my photos but here is what a neem oil burn would look like. I couldn't find a picture of mine but it only happened on one tree for me.

Is burn because you use too much too often?

I was under the impression that it was the heat and sun....done in the middle of summer. Not sure if it was from using too much. Not too often because it was only one application.

This is a good idea. Would neem work as "preventive maintenance" to cuttings to prevent mold?
