Just got them. A guy at a CRGC heavily advertised them
    Very clean cuts.
Good timing for a spring pruning and grafting.

So far, my best have been made by ARS. Superb with stainless steel blades. You can sterilize with chlorine endless number of times and super sharp. These look good too

            Nice.

I had thought posting a thread asking everyone about their favorite shears / pruners. There as so many to choose from.

I like HarveyC's better Even Felcos rust if you dip them in bleach. Are the blades replaceable? Let us know how long they last.

I have a pear of those, pretty dirty as I haven't taken that great of care of them. I don't really like them that well except for work in cutting off side thorns of pomegranates which will sometime tear when cutting with bypass pruners. I cut off pomegranate thorns from cuttings for about 8 hours one day and my arm ached bad for a couple of days. Not because of muscle strain but because of the hard impact these make with two steel edges coming together. And, IMO, the cuts are not all that great. If you try to cut a flat edge, it never happens, it's slightly V shaped. My ARS clippers are my favorite for regular small job pruning though my battery powered ones make me feel like Rambo.

No, slightly on a different subject, this is the next "toy" I'm considering, only $228!

I've been using these guys for years. A 2 pack is $30.00 but they go on sale sometimes for 9.99 each. You can replace the blades and they are razor sharp. Lowes also have their own version too in the $10.00 range
                    Love them

I want to try them for some grafting, not pruning.

With the razor blade shears it seems they can only cut cuttings in thickness up to the amount of the exposed portion of the blade without crushing the cutting. Coop, has this been your experience?

Yes Jerry, I should have mentioned I use these for cuttings up to an inch. For larger branches I use other cutters. Does a great job with somewhat smaller branches and cuttings and a pack of blades is only a few dollars

                        Jerry,

I also have a pair but bought at Sears. They are super sharp when the blade is new and stay sharp for long. 1/2" is not a problem (or a bit more). My only problem is the end of the blade is exposed and it is hard to carry them around on your belt or pocket. If at your house, they are fine, but not to carry while on a fig hunt

                              Lol, you guys are funny!

I was using Corona and thought they were good until I bought a pair of Okatsune for $36 or so from Amazon. There is no going back for me. Simple but excellent design! Blades stay super sharp much longer also.
