  • Finally! Talk about a nice surprise!

Okay I write post but somehow I delete so I try again.... So 2 year ago at the farm... Behind shop we find steel pipe come out of gravel... Then another.. Then another that was bowed.... 🤔 What could it be?? After clearing the stone we find galvanized steel frame for 12'wide 7'tall 80'long greenhouse skeleton with the side wood perfectly in tact ! Now then we were no grown trees like now just Bi39 and Chi-Talia. So we just left in pile and forget about it. Last year I start to get more into Fig grown but nothing like now. But we put frame together to see what it would look like and was huge! No really necessary for what I was doing last year. Now last week brother come to my home and look in my garage GH and was amaze and proud of how well I am doing and I make joke to him say I am run out of space in garage GH.... He sends me tis photos yesterday when I was at job and give me damn heart attack ! I quote Lampoons vacation... Tis called "Big Trouble Rusty"

Oh, WOW! Lucky you. Great brother!

Where the greenhouse sits looks like the spot where you had fig trees planted last year. Did they not survive the winter?

Oh yes they survive all of them. Last year I had them in ground but in pots with holes on sides. Tis year no pot. Permanent going in ground. Is the same area where they were last year but GH is closer to the shop so we can run electric and set up rainwater collector off the roof of the shop and pipe it into GH

                    Ahahaha!

I should take any donation cuttings no matter what they are and grown them and then send the person that donates cuttings back a tree of a variety they don't have when they do grown!
I only say donate because I can't promise I can grown them all but seems like more you have the less time you have to constantly move or touch them and they do better because is left alone !

Man the things people leave behind. Finding a greenhouse is amazing. The only thing I have found is a propane tank that was buried in the front yard when it blew up!!!

Yes it really did blow up. No one was hurt. But it shook the neighborhood. I still can not believe that someone would even think it was ok to bury a propane tank with gas in it. Silly people. !
