If I only had the money. I really like the inside color of this fruit. I can only imaging it tastes as great as it looks. Congrats to all who were able to get one.

it always does, everyone will be propagating it as fast as they can trying to cash in on it. the more there is out there the more the price will drop.

Just to clarify, the fixed price listing is for 1 cutting. There was an error in my listing, I did not change the description from the prior auction format. Sorry for the confusion. This was a fixed price listing, not an auction as I had previously run. I thought I made all of the changes necessary, but obviously did not. I emailed buyers to clarify and ask if they wanted to cancel or confirm the purchase. From the first paragraph of my listing (bold font added for this post, not in eBay listing):

This auction is for two cuttings of the fig known as Ponte Tresa, named for the location in Switzerland where this fig was originally discovered (north of Milan, Italy).A friend discovered this fig while on vacation in Europe one summer and declared it as the best of figs. The fruit photo was taken by him on that vacation. The cuttings shown in the photo are representative of what will be sent to you (the price is for one cutting). The large tree is the original mother tree discovered the friend.

Sorry again, but some did write to ask clarification after seeing the contradiction in my listing. I just need buyers to let me know if I should cancel their transaction of go ahead and ship 1 cutting. It has already been very stressful (went to bed finally at 5:30am for 2 hours), please just let me know one way or the other. Sorry.

For the average auction of 3 cuttings no matter who selling is respectful price for one cutting. Remember the first auction Frank post?

Thanks Harvey. I bought a cutting this morning. Too hard to pass up. I could be wrong but I think you'll have to wait awhile before you see a cutting from this cultivar offered for 80 bucks again. I normally root in SM but I think I'll try coir for this one. If everything goes well I'll have a little bit of Switzerland growing in the warm Texas sun this summer.

For people that want my opinion, I suggest using a small portion to graft onto an existing actively growing tree and rooting the remainder.

If you posted (good morning everyone have a great day) over there... that would ruffle feathers. It's like they are chomping at the bit to fight and argue. It's sad.... pathetic actually!

Mistakes happen. It is easy to miss something when you change a auction. Harvey is making it right and offering people the option to back out so.......I don't see what there is to complain about.

They are not so much complaining about the mistake, but the PT it's self. All the hype, the decimation of the tree, the stolen cuttings, the cops getting involved, it's an unproven unknown, it has a "real name"... bla, bla, bla

Frank got fruit in Fl Pamhandle so yes, no wasp needed. Now if the fruit will be as good as what is across the pond...that is still a bit of an unknown.
