  • Fat tips??

    Went to water my trees today and noticed one of them had big swollen tips the tips are actually fatter than the branch This is the only tree I have that is doing this it's an local unknown that I had for years , any suggestions??

    It is normal, some do that not sure why, others may know the "why"

    Btw I like your watermark
    Cutting sales have ended for the season. Plant sales will start March 1 at 8 eastern time. If it is still too cold in your area I can hold your plants till a date of your choosing.

        Yup Kevin WC is responsible for picking out the pink pony and yes thats the punishment for the JF & E post "Don't mess with the big man"

      I was surprised to see the tips swelled up like that I have never seen that before

      As far as the watermark thats my punishment for teaming up with Hershell against Wills

        You can't say fat! That's a bad word. You have to say something like thick, horizontally gifted, big boned, fluffy.

        In my limited experience, I've seen "fluffy" growth at the tips on actively growing trees after heavy fertilization. The new growth is thicker than what was below it for a while until the bottom catches up. Seems especially noticeable after a lull of no growth.

        I have several that the newest growth is healthier and more robust than the older growth causing the tip and new growth to be much thicker.

          Fat tips on steaks is da bomb! Crisped edges from the flames...just enough to get the interior of the fat melted and bubbling but keeping the steak I self blue....

          Oh...not that kind of fat tips.....
