  • Scott's Black Ripened

Not to bad for a young tree grown inside under florescent lights. I'm looking forward to more of these ripening outside.

Last season it was one of the best dark figs for me. Congrats! You will not be disappointed

You kept the tree under florescent lights all winter?

Yep. I started rooting it in the summer and rather than put it to sleep I just kept it awake. It's only about 2 ft or so tall right now. Hoping to get it up potted and outside soon. I'll fertilize it and hopefully get it to grow several feet with a bunch of figs. It still has three figs on it and possibly what look like some more starting to form.

Yum! Looks great, even better when you consider it's only April.

It tasted pretty good with a decent amount of flavor and sweetness. It didn't have that melon taste that you get with some young, unripe, under lighted fruit.
