Here is a picture of my grafted tree. Stella, Ronde de Bordeaux, Black Madeira, JH Adriatic, Panache, Belleclare's Pops Purple/Red, Gino's Black....on a California Brown Turkey root stock. The Stella, RDB, and Black Madeira took for sure and the others I grafted today just for fun. I'll update in a few weeks to see how it all goes. All the grafts were done with fresh new growth except for the stella that i grafted from a dormant cutting 3 months ago.

Be careful, with a title like that..it would for sure be the one that some tragic freak accident happened with. At least at my house anyway.Calvin, Wish list is to finish working on the new house, someday.
Bored? Grab a rake, paint roller, or a cordless drill and come over!

Funny story. True though. Perfection is a phase, And brief.

Calvin, I tend to have a pessimistic streak and your stories really spoke to me. On the other hand, you must have had some good fortune to acquire those varieties and have them do so well for you up to that point. Next weekend I am moving all of my trees to our new place - fingers are cross that it goes smoothly!

Dang Calvin....your story made me sick to my stomach. I have a pretty funny story to add to it. About a year ago i brought my mom 5 fig trees so she could put in the ground. I gave her Black Mission, Black Madeira, JH Adriatic, Salem Dark, and Vista. They were all in 5 gallon nursery pots and were about 2-3 feet tall. We picked out a few possible spots then i left to go home.(i live in another state) Two months later i came back to visit and saw only the Vista and JH Adriatic in the ground.....i asked her what happened to the other three....she told me that a bunch of my aunts came over and she gave them away!!!!! I told her that the Black Madeira was supposed to a very very good tasting fig.......and she said in a very thick Asian accent " Whats the big deal...they all the same...Black Madeira, Black Hair, Black Eye, Black Hole........ALL THE SAME!!!
