    I've thought about that as well, sometimes I'm to busy/lazy to move it around.... will need one for every pot!!!

      Save your money is garbage. I know my plant has good water cause is heavy. This junk say is dry

        I'm better off getting ceramic worm that you leave in pot and when is moisture worm is colored. When is dry work is white

            Scott I tried one last year and agree it is a waste of money. I bought it to try on cuttings and it just wasn't sensitive enough. It might work on adult trees in the summer though...

              That meter needs a good soil contact. Doesn't work well for a porous soils / mixes

                If you use clear cups you already have a built in meter......if there is condensation on the inside of the cup don't water.

                  This is true. But I wanted to use it for the black 1 gal pots when I transfer from clear cup.
