  • Newbie, so what is next?

I now own 2 fig trees, a Kadota and a Brown Turkey fig. The Kadota immediately after getting home started a crop, I guess a crop but several tiny figs, then they come on and now they are about the size of an egg. The brown Turkey has fewer small figs but it does have some. I have them safely caged away from birds now all I can do is waiting until harvest. I have searched this area just north of Austin and I can not find any fig trees. I want to start a collection of several figs. I have the space for it but no fig trees. Does any one have clippings are rooted plants for sale of different varieties? I am totally new at this and do not know if the clipping season is over andf all I can do is wait until Lowe's get trees in in the spring? Somebody help Me..

And the fig madness begins I have quite a few 1 gallon plants available if you know what you are looking for? Some of them are on eBay currently but members don't have to buy through Ebay if they do not want to.
Cutting sales will start Tuesday Nov 1 at 9:00 eastern

I see Texas members post from time to time, so I'm sure someone down there has some ideas, or maybe an extra tree or two.

Just wait a few more days and when the fever goes up a little the shipping will be the last thing that bothers you. All you will want to know is how many Wills can fit in a box and how quick they will get there. Yea I've got that shirt!

            Hello Sonnyboy1,

Welcome to our figs forum community.

In answer to your OP Topic...
An increasing Fig Mania, Collecting, Growing and Eating.

And cuttings are usually more available in the fall after the trees go dormant, but can be stored in the crisper drawer till spring or a more convenient time to start propagation. Good Luck.
