What a GREAT video!!! Tells me a lot about which figs do well in Florida, and we are just a few hours south of you, so it helps me a lot. Thanks!!
Want: Marseilles Black, Col de Dame (any), figs that do great in zone 9b (new to figs, so no fig trades, but have other plant types)

Nice orchard. I bet it's a lot work trimming, planting and checking all your trees, but well worth it.

Eric, you said you wouldn't tell. Hey Frank that was a great video. Now I want to start collecting trees again. Those have grown and look so good. I didn't see one weed though so you must live it the part of fl that doesn't have any. Just a beautiful place to see. Thanks so much.

Nice to hear that MBVS is one of your top picks, that was what I started with in 2014, this could be the year I get to try some fruit from my plants.

Be patient if it's not outstanding. Mine wasn't anything special until it's 4th year(3rd season fruiting), and as a matter of fact it was on-deck for the chopping block. It sure changed my mind during it's last chance and now it's moving to a 25 gallon pot in the "Winners" circle.

Awesome. From one of your videos a while back, you have inspired me to do a fig hedge row. I will have to upload pics sometime soon.

What is the purpose of the logs placed at the base of the hedge rows?

Looking forward to the pictures. I placed the tree trunks/logs against the outer most hedge last December to protect against frost. The are starting to rot now, adding nutrients to the trees.

I was also wondering about the logs. How do you keep the weeds down with those logs there?

Which one, and have you been able to successfully keep it from harming the figs?
