I would love to go to this but having 4 kids under the age of 7 makes it difficult to make that drive. Have fun everyone.

Bass or any other PA locals - Any recommendations for hotel in the area, I've been to Bethlehem once or twice for my uncles art gallery there but its been a while. I am trying to figure out if i should stay near Sesame Place (where i will be saturday with family) or drive up to Bethlehem at night and hotel there. Let me know as i'm trying to convince my wife at the moment.

Also - anyone bringing kids to the event? My daughter is 2.

I wondered if children were welcome to the event also. Mine are 2 and 4.

From sesame place to here it's about 1.5 hrs drive. If you decide to stay there at night and drive up in the morning you'll make it easily for 11 am. or If you like to stay in the area, we have many hotels it's all a matter of preference. Call or message me if you need further info 6106536435

I am actually going to be tagging along with Rafael, since my wife is against an overnight-er as it would be my daughters first and she doesn't want to test it

Wishing it was closer. Can't really drive that far with a recent back injury. Maybe another year!

I wish that there might have been a few more days notice, as I'd have flown out to meet with the great members that I've enjoyed the long-distance friendship with...

CA 9b "May you sit under your own fig tree..." This metaphor, in use since Solomon, is a wish for the receiver's spirit to know peace, for their family to be secure, and for their life to be fruitful.

Had an amazing time guys, it was great meeting all the people I've been talking to for over a year now and put a face to the name. Met a lot of new people and had a blast chatting and eating some great food (Vitos Galliano infused figs, Singh's rice pudding and some fresh Turkish coffee made by Bass's Wife), got some trees and some fresh pressed honey. But best of all, making all new friends and talking figs and food was the best part.

Thanks Bass for having us and setting up the event.

Next event is in Staten Island everyone, just remember to try and make it out
May the Figs be with you!

Yup, it was a lot of fun! I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I'm sure glad I got to meet everyone that attended. We really have some great people apart of our community. I was so interested in everything around me that I forgot to eat... that literally never happens.. Eventually Bass pretty much forced me to stop chatting and eat some pizza, haha. I still have so many questions! Bass has a crapton of interesting plants, a huge greenhouse, chickens & bees. All next on my list! Couple that with nice people with similar interests and you've got a great time. I want to thank everyone again... especially Bass and his wife for the hospitality, and I can't wait to see everyone at the Staten Island Fig Festival.

Special shoutout to Sal (sppsp), BrooklynMatty, JohnnyK, Jaime & Rafael!
