I have two rows of figs running parallel with 15 feet between each row, the next row is for Persimmons. There is 15 foot of room from the back fig row and a fence line. I kept the 15 foot there so I could drive behind it but maybe I could plant another row there.

I would think that with root and top pruning of any mature existing fig trees, you should be fine. After all, if people can hold them to any height in a pot, why not in-ground?

Funny how that happens! I have 6 planted 12 feet apart and am now thinking of putting figs in between them as well.

I planted some 8-10 feet apart. I was wondering if I could plant a fig between each making a spacing of 4-5 feet.

I wanted to revive this post, I have used the search feature and taken all the above advice but I want to actually hear from some people who either like or dislike their hedge and would like to know about productivity etc.

Fig Hedge?
I am looking for pictures and information regarding fig hedges. I know many members have them but I would like to see pictures and get information regarding spacing, yields etc. If you have a fig hedge please post any videos or pictures you have. Please comment regarding overall productivity and spacing.Tags: None
