My LSU purple put on a few brebas. It normally drops them after a few weeks, but as the plant gets older, who knows? I don't believe I've ever had a breba crop fig, so here's to hoping they stay on!

My figs all broke dormancy a month or so ago, I've been doing the pot shuffle add weather permits ever since.

when I was pulling them out of the garage the other day, I noticed a fig on my Hardy Chicago. I thought to myself, wow it's only March. ... then I saw that it is on last year's wood, breba... awesome!

first breba ever, I hope it mmatures and is good.

Doug the greenhouse did all the work. I really glad I put it up. Now that all this rain is falling I can spend my time in it planting and tending flowers now that my tomatoes are in the ground. I also moved all the figs to the outside.

moonlight I have a photobucket account and store all my photos there. To post them here I just copy the IMG url and paste it here. Quite easy.

Hi paully, I checked my in ground Cajun Gold yesterday and nothing showing yet. It is starting to open leaves and I did see what looking like some small protrusions that might be the beginning of brebas. I did not notice any on the Greek Church when I move it outside. It is fully leafed out. I will check closer tomorrow. Do you have any on yours?

Nothing yet on inground trees. Still cold but good signs of warming up. My indoor trees have brebas.

Doug my greenhouse is roughly 16' X 9'. It made of repurposed window from a commercial building. They look like doors and even have frames much like a door you'd buy at the lumber outlet only there are no hinges. I stood them up one at the time and screwed it to the next one I stood up. I continued the process until I had one wall built. I then put one at right angles on each end to complete 1/2 of the greenhouse. I built another half just like the first leaving an opening on each end for doors. I put the whole thing on a foundation of limestone and cinder blocks. I think you'll get the idea from the pictures at the end of this post. The top is greenhouse covering and there are 4 vent along the top wall that are opened via a heat sensor automatic vent opener.

Hopefully I'll make it over that way this year. Going to Poplarville MS next Wednesday the 18th of March for a grafting class. I checked my Cajun Gold and no figs yet but it is awake with 6" - 8" green leaves.

BUT

I do have five figs on a Vista. Not sure if this came from Frank or Hershell. It is growing in a two gallon nursery pot.

I have figs on most of the trees kept in pots within my garage. Including: Celeste, Black Mission, a Greek Fig tree, Peter's Honey and a single Adriatic JH fig. I have not had much luck with brebas in the short 2 or 3 years that I have attempted to grow figs. Hopefully, now that several of the trees are a little older, the odds will increase.
