  • Attilio Purple 2016 Main

This four year old in ground tree receives about five hours of sunlight daily.

This fig was slightly sweet with a raspberry flavor. The skin is thin and it had
just the slightest seed crunch. I gave it a 7 on 1-10.

Finally! I've been waiting for someone to post about this fig and post some pictures. Thanks Mike!

So..would you call this one an Etna? It really looks like it to me, and further the question do you feel it is different enough from the other Etnas to justify a spot when one is thinning the herd? Mine is still in a gallon pot out of neglect , I'm on the fence as far as up potting and keeping or up potting and giving it away.
Calvin, Wish list is to finish working on the new house, someday.
Bored? Grab a rake, paint roller, or a cordless drill and come over!

Calvin, if I were thinning the herd this one would go if it were in a pot. I
have a large number of Mt Etna varieties. It may go eventually.

Is this its first year fruiting? If not was there any year over year improvement?

Bob, it fruited some last year but not a lot. Not much difference this year either. Since I have
a large number of dark/Mt. Etna figs this one may have to go sooner or later.
