Vito, you'll probably get more interest on the trading forum. Good luck! I'm trying to root and graft some other varieties, not Pakistan though.

I have some Packistans rooted in pots. What figs do you have to trade?

        Vito,

I have some Mulberry cuttings/scion that I could send to try and root or graft but not Pakistan. Pakistan from 3 different sources has froze out on me. It not very cold hardy. I will likely try it again, but don't think it stands a chance in zone 4?5. I don't think Pakistan would be happy in a pot long term if that was your plan but others might have had better input on that. Of the Mulberry I grow I think Kokuso No. 20 and Illinois Everbearing are supposedly the hardiest. I can still take wood if they have not started to bud, not sure what I have left in fridge of those 2 and a couple others

Is the Pakistan Mulberry susceptible to the popcorn blight that Illinois Everbearing has a problem with?

I have had my Pakistan for 3 years so far without any blight issues in South Louisiana. I kind of neglected it in a pot for most of that time. This fall I pruned it hard to shape it up and rooted the cuttings. Recently I put the pruned tree in the ground and it is leafing out fine. Seems to be pretty hardy considering how I took care of it originally.

              Hi Vito,
I have a Pakistan Mulberry Tree in ground that just survived it's first winter in Michigan (zone 6a). It is covered still, but I believe it is still dormant and I could probably send you some cuttings if you would like.

Shoot me a message if you're interested.

              Andy
