  • Extra rooted cuttings for trade.. Part 1 😉

Okay, I guess I'm going to give this trading forum a go.. I've got 1 Olympian left 1gal pot As far as what I'm looking for in trade (beyond what's on my wishlist anyway), love the look of the Syrian and Lebanese types, Dr. Gowaty, Red Sicilian, reds in general lol... Ya know what just pm me if you are interested in any of them.. I'm pretty fig obsessed/easy to please so if I don't already have it than I probably will be happy to trade Can only ship inside the continental US.. Sorry international members, wish I could send to you but it's not possible at this time

Oh man, they had 4' tall Southern BTs at Lowe's in Florida last week when I was on vacation. I sooooooo wanted to break off a piece but I didn't! (promise!) Can you picture me trying to hand-carry a 4' fig tree back on a flight? I seriously considered it. They had leaves and figlets and everything!

Absolutely Dave! It was the pic of your beautiful new Sucrette with those nice (no so) lil figs growing on it already that made me start thinking of that variety to begin with! Haha! PM me so we can exchange our addresses & all that good stuff

Thank you for the warm congrats Korn81! I'm definitely honored to be asked to help out here any way I can I wish we could trade too as the varieties you mentioned sound wonderful! I just wouldn't want to take the chance that either one of us would end up having our trees confiscated... Im sorry, it totally stinks how hard it is to send/receive trees to/from other countries.. Wish there was a safe way but I'm sure it is this way for a good reason.. I'm not sure these little trees would survive such a long journey even if we could exchange with one another.

Yes Jamie. Usually, we shipped it as bareroot but to send it to US is very high risk and you could have a visitor who knock your door. Those 3 i mentioned I got from member from Israel and all the variety from Syrian and Palestine. Also got Tauro and Pisaluto Nero from Dr. Pa... From Italy to spare too

Wow you really do have access to some great fig varieties out there! So you can send/receive plants from Israel and Italy? If so that's awesome! We can't even send to our northern or southern neighboring countries here unfortunately.. Tell ya what, next time I go to Thailand I will let ya know! Maybe we can send/receive trees or cuttings at least between Thailand & Malaysia? We have close family members who live there that we visit every other year.. May even be going this upcoming summer

Very nice Sucrette tree Dave. Have you had a chance to taste this variety? If so, what's your take on it? I have three of the mother trees growing in ground. They are getting bigger each year.

Hey fig pig, welcome to the forum! You may want to start a new thread here in the trading forum so you can list exactly what you are looking for and other members will see and respond to you. This was a post I started quite a while ago, so many members would probably miss your post. Im sure you will get many responses if you do that. If you need help starting a new thread, shoot me a pm and I'd be glad to help! Btw Im a Jersey girl originally myself and I grew up just east of you in Union, NJ 👍🏼
