I'm sorry bie 14, if there wasn't so much red tape & risk associated with sending internationally believe me many US members (including myself) would love to send you cuttings.. The problem is that most of us are only hobbyists so we don't really have the ability to securely send you cuttings or live plant materials via the mail. However Harvey does do international shipping during his cutting sale in the spring, and perhaps Wills might consider it as well.. Also its just not the time of year for cuttings since our trees are all actively growing here in the US. There are many nice members here though that are from Southeast Asia.. Saifud lives in Malaysia and I know he has a large fig farm out there. Perhaps he may be able to safely send to you? Best of luck to you, I hope you are able to get yourself a nice fig tree soon! By the way, don't fig trees grow wild in Indonesia? I would think you could find fig trees everywhere there.. Is that not the case?
Indeed there is a lot of wasps ... but I 'm not sure if wasps here capable of pollinating as many found there
I'm hoping to find some mutations here because of the climate
The fig wasps here in SE Asia have evolved together with the local species of figs and theoretically won't pollinate F. carica. But I will test that hypothesis once I get some caprifigs to mature.
We in SE Asia do have wild figs but not F.Carica. F. Auriculata, F. Benjamina to name a few. Some varieties of fig in here were pollinated by wasp but not blastophaga wasp.
Sometimes appearances can be deceiving ... it looks very tasty on the tongue
but in my opinion better ficus carica l, because here the opinion it is poisonous and I have never tasted it ...
